Funding

Theatre companies entering the Rose Bowl Award competition pay an entry fee which contributes towards the adjudication costs. However, in order to keep the fee as low as possible, we rely heavily on the voluntary support and goodwill of a dedicated group of people for administration and fundraising. We are always interested in the possibility of financial support of any kind – please contact our Treasurer, Peter Stoppard on 01275 392069 or email peter.stoppard@gmail.com.

Endowment Fund

The Rose Bowl Awards are supported by an endowment fund, established in 1992 with initial donations from Joan Hawkins, and Peter and Eleanor Coe. The Fund is managed by Quartet Community Foundation.

A minimum donation of £5,000 to the Rose Bowl Awards endowment fund provides lasting sponsorship of an individual award. We are grateful to those who have sponsored awards to date as follows:

Quartet Community Foundation

Quartet Community Foundation is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the UK.  With an endowment worth over £23 million, the Community Foundation works across Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset to help hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged people.  Last year Quartet Community Foundation distributed over £2.5 million in small grants to nearly 1,000 good causes.  Our work tackles every aspect of inequality from supporting young people facing mental health issues, to helping people living in poverty to connect with arts, culture and the environment and tackling isolation for older people.  However we don’t have enough money to help everyone who needs it.  Our funding comes from people like you; anyone who wants to help give people the chance to fulfil their potential can donate or set up a fund by calling us on 0117 989 7700 or through our website at www.quartetcf.org.uk
